SIDNEY - This past weekend, members from the Sidney Elks Lodge #1894 packaged up 50 care-packages that will be sent to US troops overseas. The Lodge was awarded a $1000 Spark Freedom Grant which was used to purchase care-package contents such as hygiene products, hard candy, jerky and writing supplies. The packages will be packed up and delivered to a base in Eastern Nebraska where they will be inspected, sealed, and then sent overseas....

CHEYENNE COUNTY – Cheyenne County Sheriff Office (CCSO) Sheriff Adam Frerichs announced the department made two arrests last week. According to Sheriff Frerichs, CCSO arrested 26-year-old Jonathan Downer for criminal trespassing.
