The event is held each year to raise awareness of suicide and self-harm in the Rodeo and Bull-Riding Community and is named for Clinton McCrea of Potter, who passed away on March 31, 2019.     At 11:20 am on Tuesday, August 20, a jury came back with a verdict of guilty in the case of 38-year-old Curtis Strausser, charged with motor vehicle homicide resulting from a vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Link 17J Highway and Jennifer Lane on June 19, 2023.
