    NORTH PLATTE — For a pair of exhibition contests, the Sidney High School basketball teams managed to get some much-needed work against North Platte Monday night, in preparation for their respective season openers this week. Tyler Shaw’s Lady Raiders dropped a 53-46 decision to the Bulldogs, while Erik Kohl’s Red Raiders boys fell, 56-42.     Clara Dickinson 1923 to 2012 Clara Dickinson, 89, of Lodgepole, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 25, 2012, at the Miller Memorial Care Center in Chappell. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Lodgepole with Wayne Fraass officiating.     The Sidney Red Raider Girls Basketball team will soon be sporting pink jerseys for a pink night during the 2012 - 2013 season. The jerseys aren’t really pink but rather white with pink trim and are approved by the Nebraska State Athletic Association (NSAA) for the girls to wear at a designated home game in honor of anyone who has battled or lost their life to cancer.
