Unofficial results for Cheyenne County are in, although according to Cheyenne County Clerk, Beth Feigenschuh, election results are unofficial until an official review by the canvassing board counts provisional ballots and reviews the results. This election had no shortage of controversy, with voters drawing a clear line in the sand, voter turnout was higher then it has been in the past. In the last general election in 2014, there were 6,989 registered voters, with only 2,914 turning out to cast their votes.
