At this week’s economic development briefing at Sidney’s Holiday Inn Jason Petik, Sidney Regional Medical Center’s CEO, expressed excitement about the hospital’s role in the city’s bright future. Golden Living Center hosted a family council meeting on Thursday evening. The resident council held a meeting to vote on a theme for the event. "It is a meeting we have several times a year that we invite families and caregivers to, along with the residents and staff to let them know what is going on at Golden Living and also an opportunity for them to ask us questions," staff member, Don Davis said. A man who exposed at least one child to illegal drugs was sentenced to 20-60 months in prison on Wednesday for methamphetamine possession and 30-60 months for child abuse. The sentences were ordered to run consecutively. On Sept. 6 Justin Warren, 30, of Kimball pled no contest to possession of methamphetamine, a class IV felony and child abuse, a class IIA felony. The Coyotes' drive for a berth in the state tournament came up one game short as they fell to the Brady Eagles in the Class D1-6 final at Garden County High School in Oshkosh Thursday night.
