Ada Sharman will have her share of visitors in the coming days, as she celebrates her 100th year on this earth with friends and family. Ada's parents, Gus and Minnie Hennig, were immigrants from Germany. Ada said her dad was young when he snuck onto a ship bound for the United States. Women Involved in Farm Economics (WIFE) will be coming to Sidney this week for the 40th Anniversary Convention “Out West – Where WIFE Began.” Meetings will be held at the Cabela’s Retail Store Meeting Room on November 3-5. A group of Sidney farm women were responsible for the formation of WIFE in December of 1976. WIFE is a grassroots organization for women promoting prosperity in agriculture through educational, cooperative and legislative methods.
