Last week the city council approved street improvement districts tied to a new hotel development north of Runza. The requests for these improvements came from M.P. Patel of Krishna Management. While the weather took the headlines at the Class A and C state golf tournaments yesterday, the players took center stage in Class B. Despite 29 mile per hour winds, with gusts up to 36 and nearly a half an inch of rain, 70 players from around Nebraska completed the first day of the Class B State Golf Championships at Holmes Golf Course in Lincoln. The Coyotes split a triangular with Wallace and Garden County on Monday night. Their mark for the season keeps pace at 7-12. Potter-Dix is 2-2 in district play. In the opener, Wallace challenged the Coyotes' back line, testing left, right and middle on the serve. Kinley Vowers responded by receiving 19 serves, while Dawson Sharman and Regyn Hicks initiated 17 and 16 volleys, respectively. Potter-Dix was active digging out kill attempts, as well.
