A tow-truck lost its brakes and struck a fire hydrant at 10th Avenue and Forrest Street on Oct. 6. Carletta Ann Burton passed away September 30, 2017 in Weatherford, Texas. She was born to Carl and Violet Farmer on November 24, 1934, in Denver, Colorado. In March 1944, the family moved to Sioux Ordnance Depot near Sidney, Nebraska. She attended school at Brownson, NE and Sidney, NE, graduating from Sidney High School in 1953.
