InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a management agreement with Sidney Hospitality to build an 82-room, four-story Holiday Inn Express in Sidney. The hotel will mark the entry of the new prototype Holiday Inn Express that was rolled out a year ago and is one of the first to be built. A hearing has been set for Sept. 15 by the South Platte Natural Resources District to hear public testimony for the proposed irrigation allocations. The SPNRD board took action during its meeting earlier this month to set preliminary numbers for each subarea in the district for the next allocation period that runs from 2016 through 2018.
