With Sidney students returning to school on Thursday, teachers and administrators have been busy preparing classrooms and buildings. This Sunday, Aug. 16, has been designated as the day to commemorate of 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. The Spirit of ’45 organization has invited national, state and tribal veteran cemeteries to be a participant in the “International Tribute” scheduled for the weekend. Dalton Prairie Sooner Museum open Saturday and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. for the rest of the summer. The Farmer’s Market is held on Saturdays through Oct. 10 at Hickory Street Square in Sidney from 8 -11 a.m. The Bridge Marathon will begin playing again in September.
