  • Street department to begin chipsealing of streets

    SIDNEY - The City of Sidney Street Department will be chipsealing the following streets on July 17th 18th and 19th. The City requests that all residents and citizens on the following streets please remove their vehicles from the streets to be sealed by 6:00 a.m. on all three days. Any vehicle left on the streets to be sealed, will be towed at the owner’s expense. The City also requests that you do not allow any water from your residence to run in the streets.     CHEYENNE COUNTY – As part of the veterans and first responder service recognition activities during fair week, a CPR class has been made available during the county fair later this month. According to a press release, the class will be available for everyone 16 years and older during the military, veterans and first responder's day at the county fair.     If conditions are right and mosquito counts warrant spraying, the City of Sidney Parks Department will begin spraying for mosquitoes on Sunday nights in July. The first Sunday night spraying will be July 16th. Those persons wishing to be placed on the “No Spray List” are encouraged to call the City Offices at 254-5300 and leave their name and address.
