Sidney High School football coach Todd Ekart has been selected as a coach for the North team in the 2015 Nebraska Shrine Bowl. The Shrine Bowl, which started in 1958, was created to honor outstanding graduating high school football players and coaches throughout the state. Electricity rates for the city of Sidney are increasing by 10 percent after an ordinance was passed Tuesday night by city council.
