Bell Lumber & Pole will receive a $500,000 performance based loan from the city of Sidney. Although this loan was already approved by the city council in fall 2012, when construction of the utility pole treatment plant was announced, the two entities officially entered into the loan agreement with city council approval this week. The money for the loan will come from a fund authorized by the Sidney voters in 2007 specifically to be used for job creation projects. In 1909 Felix Alston was the Sheriff in Big Horn County, Wyoming. Four years before his death in 1956 at the age of 87, Former Sheriff Alston began a handwritten manuscript detailing his investigation of the Ten Sleep murder, known also as The Spring Creek Raid. The manuscript titled "The Tensleep Raiders," along with several of Mr. Alston's personal effects, has recently been donated to the Wyoming State Museum in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Red Raiders golf team had a rough outing at the Ogallala Invite on Thursday, just four days before the District B-4 Tournament is scheduled to begin. Sidney finished sixth among the 12 teams competing with a total of 368. McCook won the match with a 313.
