The beautification project planned for Old Post Road and 11th Avenue in Sidney is slowly moving forward. The project, initially proposed last summer, has faced numerous setbacks. The plans call for installing landscaping, a wall and sign at the corner of the two streets. The Sidney Public School District recently purchased a travel bus for activity and sports groups to use. The vehicle holds 57 people and was first put into service last Friday to transport high school track athletes. The bus is a 2007 model and cost $187,500.... Full story
Celebration of Life for George Houser was held 10 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2015 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Richard "George" Houser, 58 of Gillette, passed away on Wed., Feb. 11, 2015 of a pulmonary event at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. George was born to Clarence F. Houser Sr. and H. I don’t follow professional sports as closely as I once did. Maybe there’s just not as much time or maybe it’s less exciting to watch the teams I’ve rooted for all my life struggle year after year.
