A milling crew was removing the asphalt surface from I-80 east of the Hwy. 30 exit on May 6 as part of road reconstruction. The milled asphalt is moved to the edge of the roadbed. Interior design students at Leyton High School received some hands-on education this year as they spent the last few months designing and decorating the district counselor's office at the elementary school in Gurley. Brett Godfrey led the Creek Valley golfers to second place at the MAC tournament at Bayard Monday, where the team combined for a 384. Garden County High School captured the team title with 157 points, while South Platte was third (394) and Bayard fifth (407).
