Firefighters and emergency personnel responded to a structure fire in the 1200 block of Newton Street in Sidney on Tuesday morning. First reports indicated the fire began near the house's fireplace. The District is beginning the process of review and evaluation of its ground water management in preparation to set ground water allocations for irrigators over the next allocation period (2016-2018).
