For the third year in a row, Nebraska legislators will consider a bill to expand Medicaid coverage for low-income state residents. Legislative Bill 472 was introduced by Lincoln Sen. Kathy Campbell last month. The bill was assigned to the Health and Human Services Committee, which will conduct a hearing on the legislation this week. The Sidney Mindblenders took sixth place among 45 teams at the First Lego League Robotics competition over the weekend at the Strategic Air and Space Museum in Ashland, Neb.. The Sidney Red Raiders Danz Team took a third-place finish in the "High Kick" category at the 2015 Nebraska State Cheer and Dance Championships over the weekend. Coached by Krissy Fry and Sidney Danz Team alumni Alisha Miller, the squad of 16 dancers competed in two events at the state competition that took place at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island on Saturday. DALTON – The Leyton Public Schools Foundation received a $2,500 donation from Cheyenne County farmer John Cruise and America's Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. The donation will help the organization purchase new audio-visual equipment such as a video camera and TV.
