    Sidney High School students are continuing to make progress on a house renovation. The class project began last fall and provides an opportunity for real-world learning in planning, budgeting and construction. Proceeds from the eventual sale of the home will support scholarships for graduating seniors and the purchase of a new property to makeover next year.     OMAHA – Sidney High School freshman Derek Robb won the Class B state title at 138 pounds on Saturday afternoon at the Nebraska State Wrestling Championships in CenturyLink Center in Omaha. Robb, who finishes his first prep season with a perfect 45-0 record, decisioned Andrew Null of Plattsmouth, 8-5, in the finals. Robb is the first state champion from Sidney since Nolan Jenkins won a title at 125 pounds in 1999.   • Fatal accident on Interstate 80

    Christopher Maas, 26, of Potter died in a collision when his 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup truck was heading east of Kimball on Interstate 80 Friday morning. The pickup truck collided with the rear of a semi-trailer that was parked along the shoulder of the road near mile marker 29 on I-80. The driver of the semi, Kathy Brock, 49, of Irvine, Calif., was transported to the Kimball hospital for treatment and did not have life threatening injuries.
