    A team from Sidney High School will represent the Panhandle for the Nebraska Envirothon Contest. The Sidney team will compete at the state envirothon meet at Lied Lodge near Nebraska City on April 27. The first place team comprised of Logan Uhlir, Ryan Birner, Brenner Keane, Hannah Rapp and Spencer Ellwanger, and they earned the state berth with a score of 115 on Feb. 10 at the contest held in Gordon.     Cabela’s on Thursday reported an increase in revenue and decrease in sales for its fourth quarter of 2015, and reported that net income decreased over $2 million for fiscal year 2015. The company also said that its process to “explore and evaluate a wide range of strategic alternatives to enhance value for the company’s shareholders” that was announced Dec. 2, 2015, is ongoing.   • Cheyenne County establishes truancy diversion program

    Cheyenne County commissioners approved the establishment of a truancy diversion program on Monday which will coincide with a collaborative attendance plan by Sidney Public Schools. There are a few types of diversion programs already implemented in Cheyenne County. The county offers a four-hour defensive driving program for minor traffic violators and the juvenile court has a misdemeanor diversion program.     A pair of Sidney wrestlers are headed to the semifinals of the Class B Nebraska state wrestling tournament in Omaha.
