    The first baby of the new year born at Sidney Regional Medical Center arrived on Friday, Jan. 10. Andre Daphnis was born to Corissa Trowbridge and Fabenson Daphnis. It is the couple's first child. The mother thanked the hospital's staff. "I've never seen such a beautiful baby boy," she said.     Four ladies graduating from Nebraska high schools this spring will receive $10,000 scholarships from Cabela’s in collaboration with the Harry and Reba Huge Foundation. These Women in Leadership scholarships are part of the local company’s goal to encourage more women in management positions. This is the second year for the scholarships.     Tracy Pelster of Dalton was named the new Sports Director at the Cheyenne County Community Center it was announced last week. “I am so happy and fortunate to be a part of the Cheyenne County Community Center and look forward to serving Sidney, Cheyenne County and all the surrounding areas,” said Pelster. Pelster replaces Kasey Kantor who left the Community Center last month to take a new job.
