    On Thursday, Jan. 5 the Cheyenne County Board of Commissioners held its first meeting of the year, where designations and appointments of office were made and reaffirmed. Prior to the start of Thursday’s meeting, Randy Miller was sworn in as the Cheyenne County Commissioner for District One, taking the seat of previous Commissioner Steve Olsen.     The Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce is planning a retail leakage lunch and learn for Thursday, Feb. 2 at noon. The meeting will be at Dude’s Steakhouse. Chamber president-CEO Denise Wilkinson said a retail leakage report will be discussed during the lunch and learn.     Sidney's Lady Raiders continued to roll coming out of the Christmas break, notching three wins on the way to an 11-1 record. Among the wins was a second win over conference rival Gering in a week. Sidney began the stretch Thursday, cruising to a 65-25 win over neighboring Kimball.
