The Peetz Local Spelling Bee was held last week, with Dylan Baggs of Sidney coming out on top. Bryson Long of Peetz finished second. The top 25 spellers based on a written test competed for 10 spots – eight qualifiers and two alternates. That group advances to the Regional Bee in Brush, Colo., on Feb. 2.
