  • Tri-State Dirt Riders announce schedule

    The Tri-State Dirt Riders Motocross will kick off its 2015 race season with a race in Mitchell, Neb., on May 3. The TSDR circuit has scheduled 11 races at tracks in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska this year. TSDR has classes for every level and age – from beginner all the way up to pro riders – with divisions for motorcycle, quads and women riders. Races will be held in Berthould and Sterling, Colo.; Casper and Wheatland, Wyo.; and Mitchell, Alliance, and Sidney, Neb. Many of the races are two-day events that cut down on travel costs.   • City offices, services closed for Good Friday

    The City of Sidney will be closed on Friday, April 3 in observance of Good Friday. All city departments will be closed including the landfill and the library. The Dial-a-ride Bus and Stage Line Bus will not be running. The Solid Waste Department will be collecting Friday’s trash on Thursday and Thursday’s trash will be collected on Wednesday.     Average retail gasoline prices in Nebraska have fallen 1.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.38 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 1,150 gas outlets in Nebraska.
