Nebraska Extension Educator Natalia Bjorklund will conduct a training class in Scottsbluff in April for those interested in being part the Nebraska Bee Survey. Amir Haghverdi will join the faculty at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Panhandle Research and Extension Center this summer as an irrigation and water-management specialist. An Equine Welfare Training short course is planned for Sidney in May, hosted by the Nebraska Horse Council and Nebraska Extension. While there were a number of positive signs that came from Peetz High School’s 7-3 road loss to the Community Christian Crusaders (8-1) – Class 1A’s second-ranked team – it might be the two other losses that hurt the most. The Tri-State Dirt Riders Motocross will kick off its 2015 race season with a race in Mitchell, Neb., on May 3. The TSDR circuit has scheduled 11 races at tracks in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska this year. TSDR has classes for every level and age – from beginner all the way up to pro riders – with divisions for motorcycle, quads and women riders.
