    Cabela’s Inc. network engineer Erik Fritzler received the company’s Community Hero Award on Thursday for his work leading a team that upgraded the Sidney Public Schools network over the summer.     CHADRON – The Sidney High School boys’ golf team shot its best score of the season to finish second at the Western Conference Tournament on Thursday at Ridgeview Country Club. Sidney fell eight strokes short of winner Scottsbluff as it shot 325 to the Bearcats 317. Chadron (346) finished third with Gering (358) and Alliance (361) finishing fourth and fifth.     Dress Down Day funds were awarded to Post-Prom Committees for areas schools. Post-prom parties were available to students as a safe activity for them to do after prom.     Mary Egging Schadegg celebrated her 100th birthday over the weekend at the Sidney Regional Medical Center with friends and family – many whom traveled from outside the state. She was born on April 28, 1915, in Wilhelmina, Mo., and is one of 13 children in the family. The family moved to Gurley in 1928. Mary married Ernest Schadegg in August 1940.
