    Adams Industries recently acquired Quality Equipment & Service, a heavy equipment maintenance shop in Sterling, Colo. It has been renamed to Adams Quality Equipment & Service. After 46 years, previous owners Rich and Pat Kloberdanz, decided to retire. The business began in November 1969 and the Kloberdanzs purchased all of the assets in 1975.     On Tuesday, all 81 Runza Restaurants in Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Kansas donated 15 percent of sales to purchase books for libraries, schools and school foundations in communities with a Runza location. The annual fundraiser, entitled “Great Books for Great Kids,” promoted the importance of reading and literacy. This year’s effort raised $45,276.56.     Average retail gasoline prices in Nebraska have fallen 2.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.69 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 1,150 gas outlets in Nebraska. This compares with the national average that has fallen 7.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.60 per gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.     InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a management agreement with Sidney Hospitality to build an 82-room, four-story Holiday Inn Express in Sidney.     A hearing has been set for Sept. 15 by the South Platte Natural Resources District to hear public testimony for the proposed irrigation allocations.     Grain dealers and producers should be aware that changes to the Grain Dealer Act become effective Aug. 30. In May, the Legislature passed LB 183 modifying certain portions of the act.
