    The Creek Valley High girls’ golf team continued its pattern of improvement as all three of its players shot career-best rounds at the Storm Invite at the Chappell Golf Course on Thursday.     The Creek Valley High Storm volleyball team had little trouble dispatching its first two opponents of the 2015 season in a home triangular on Thursday evening.     The City of Sidney will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day. All city departments will be closed including the landfill and the library. The Dial-a-ride Bus and Stage Line Bus will not be running. The Solid Waste Department will be collecting Monday’s trash on Tuesday and Tuesday’s trash on Wednesday.     A man who shot and killed a Sidney woman three years ago will be sentenced next month in Cheyenne County District Court on his first-degree murder conviction. Larry Martinez was convicted in March 2014 in the murder of Mandy Kershman.     On Tuesday, all 81 Runza Restaurants in Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Kansas donated 15 percent of sales to purchase books for libraries, schools and school foundations in communities with a Runza location.
