    The Sidney Raiders golf team placed second of six teams in a match held at Ridgeview Country Club in Chadron last Thursday. Scottsbluff took top honors with a combined score of 314 while Sidney’s score of 346 was one stroke better than host Chadron. The Raiders were led by senior Taylor Barton with an 80, while freshman Ryan Birner came in at 84.     Creek Valley’s Lane Godfrey braved the stiff winds of the Oshkosh Country Club to take top individual honors in the MAC golf tournament with an 85 Thursday. As a team, Creek Valley managed a second-place finish with a combined 443 strokes. Garden County was first with 339.     The Raiders golf team finished in sixth place out of 13 schools competing at the Gothenburg Golf Tournament yesterday. Sidney’s aggregate score was 364. Scottsbluff took top honors with a combined score of 312. McCook (317) and Broken Bow (324) finished second and third respectively.     Despite uncooperative spring weather the American Legion Post 17 baseball program has already put in some hard work.
