    The Red Raiders earned the top seed in the upcoming Class B District 6 basketball tournament it was announced Tuesday morning. As the No. 1 seed Sidney will play the winner of the play-in game from Feb. 25. The Raiders will face either No. 4 Alliance (4-15) or No. 5 Scottsbluff (2-17) on Thu. Feb. 27, at 5 p.m. All games in the B6 tournament will be played at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff.     Sidney native and Peetz High School graduate Jacob Wilson has made his mark on the Black Hills State University (Spearfish, S.D.) track team. Since Wilson won the high jump at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference meet last spring he has not lost an event. He won the championship last spring with a with a school record leap of 6-10 1/4 in an outdoor event.     Representing Creek Valley at the Class D District 4 District Championships in North Platte on Saturday, Mason Low and Gage Koenen fell short in their attempts to qualify for state. Kiner, one of the great sluggers in baseball history died last Thursday, Feb. 6, at the ripe old age of 91 - the 119th anniversary of Babe Ruth’s birth.
