    The case against a Lodgepole woman arrested in May on charges of cultivating and possessing marijuana and mushrooms was bound over to the Cheyenne County District Court this week. Mylissa Pennington appeared before County Court Judge Randin Roland on Friday for a preliminary hearing.     Road construction on Interstate 80 through Sidney is progressing despite the soggy weather. Wayne Rhamy, Nebraska Department of Roads project manager in Gering, said workers are doing the best they can with all the recent rain.     A motion for a new trial filed on behalf of Jason Assad, the Sidney man convicted of five felony charges in April stemming from a domestic dispute, was denied on Monday.     Two Sidney Police officers involved in an April shooting that led to the death of a Sidney man are back on the job after a Nebraska State Patrol investigation determined the officers’ use of force was appropriate.     Year-round campsites at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds will no longer be available following a decision by county commissioners this week.     A Cheyenne County charitable organization has established an endowment to support community projects, programs and people.     A new trial for Jason Assad, the Sidney man convicted in April of five felony charges including first-degree false imprisonment, is being sought by his attorney.     A rainstorm on Monday morning followed by a constant drizzle led to a cancellation of scheduled events at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney. Events planned by the V.F.W.
