A number of road projects are either under way or set to begin in the next week as the Nebraska Department of Roads repairs and replaces highways throughout the area. For the first time in more than 20 years, Sidney wrestlers came home with more than one state champion in their midst. Raiders Trey Arellano and Derek Robb captured gold over the weekend, becoming the first duo of Sidney champions since 1993. Sidney junior Derek Robb re-wrote the record books on both the school and state level with four wins, all by pin, at the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament over the weekend.
