Sidney resident Victor Wooley, was killed when a semi truck struck the back of a 1997 Dodge minivan near Julesburg, Colorado, Sunday morning. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, the accident happened Sunday at 1:28 am. During their regular meeting, the Sidney Public Schools Board of Education unanimously voted to extend the contract of Superintendent Jay Ehler for the 2016-17 school year.
