    Spreading the spirit of the games Cornhusker State Games, runners from the Cheyenne County area relayed a torch from Dalton to the Cheyenne County Community Center Tuesday. According to Kiersten Richards, activities director at Cheyenne County Community Center, there were 18 runners, with each participant running at least one mile.     Sidney students will see some changes this coming school year when it comes to math standards and assessment testing. Changes to the math standards were passed on a state level in September 2015. Sherri Ehler, Sidney School Curriculum Director said there is a one-year window before the standards must be in place at a local level.     Fishing the day away in legion park, families gathered to fish and enjoy the warm weather at Cabela's 13th Kids Fishing Day Saturday.     Legion Park pond is officially stocked with 460 fish for Saturday's Kid fishing day sponsored by Cabela's. Brian Hahle was on site from Pleasant Valley Fish farms.     Sidney Regional Medical Center (SRMC) recently matched funds raised by children who attend Kids Korner Daycare & Learning Korner Preschool to donate to the Cheyenne County Safe Kids car seat program.     A string of recent burglaries in Sidney are currently under investigation by the Sidney Police Department. According to Police Chief Joe Aikens, the first burglary happened on April 21, at Triple O's Building Supply, located at 633 10th Avenue.
