    Lodgepole's Depot Museum will be open to the public in observance of the Old Settlers' Days celebration held over the Labor Day weekend in Lodgepole.     Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) beefed up it's numbers in Sidney Wednesday to conduct surprise commercial vehicle inspections. NSP Sargent Mike Maytum said the officers that came to Sidney to conduct the inspections were from all over the state, essentially tripling the State Trooper population in Sidney for the day.     Cheyenne County Board of Commissioners held a special meeting Monday to discuss the Pavilion Building at the fairgrounds and the 2016-2017 Cheyenne County Budget.     Cabela’s Outdoor Fund and The Arbor Day Foundation have partnered together to replant in forests devastated by natural disaster.     A Denver man who was arrested last week by Sidney police plead guilty to a reduced charge in County Court Thursday. Sidney police officers arrested 33-year-old Justin Lane, on Monday after he attempted to run from law enforcement.     A road activity update was presented by County Highway Superintendent Doug Hart at Monday’s regular Cheyenne County Board of Commissioners meeting. In the meeting Hart discussed future plans to repave the asphalt pad located at the fairgrounds. The pad is primarily used by the Oktoberfest committee for its annual event.
